How to be the Source of Happiness?

Ever wondered that there are few people who just seem to be so happy…they seem like they don’t have any sadness or a reason to be not so happy all the time….well I am not saying that I know the answer for this but my quest for the same is a search still not complete….

I saw the movie “Pursuit of Happiness” which is a wonderful story about a Father and Son’s relation, about dealing with situations, about pushing oneself a little bit more even when the circumstances say that you can go no further. There pursuit was for happiness which the father thinks he will achieve once he provides for his son and acquires a certain lifestyle. Here also the thing which is to be attained is “Happiness”.

This movie triggered my conversation over a cup of tea at office and what was concluded was that we all need happiness and we should be able to generate it ourselves and not be depended upon others or things to achieve it.

We all pursue one thing or the other but ideally we are on the pursuit of this one single thing….and that is “Happiness”. Let me explain. Someone wants a big house for themselves because owning that house will make them “Happy”. Someone wants a particular position in a company because having that position will make them “Happy”. Everybody’s dreams , reasons of working ,reasons of being with somebody , reasons of achieving something leads to just one thing and that is “Happiness”.

So how to be the source of Happiness ourselves? Further to find the answer to my newly found question….I changed the type of books I read. I have started reading books like “The Secret” “Forty rules of Love” and few more…. Let me tell you… I have been a fictional reader of love and romance since I was small and never have been into inspiring ,biographies ,self help books….but this discussion drew me towards finding the answers of my question.

So the conclusion that I have drawn till now from the reads is that we can be happy if we are Positive ,we are in connect with the Almighty , we are Grateful for things we have and we are ready to Serve others even if it doesn’t benefit us…..So the person who does all the above..knowingly or unknowingly sometimes 😉 is the one who becomes the “Source of Happiness”

5 Little Changes That Will Make A Difference In Your Life

1.Get up early

We all know how hard it is to get out of cozy bed but the trick is to not think twice and just jump on the first ring of the alarm clock. Trust me, if after stopping the alarm clock from buzzing if you wait for a millisecond also in that warm bed of your’s….dude you are so not getting out. Getting up early gives you an early start to your day and you have ample time to finish your work at an easy pace. So if you wanna catch the worm then you have to be the early bird.

2. Be Active

The secret to a healthy life is to just keep the fat burning. What it means is that one needs to keep themselves in motion . Life is not about pausing …its about being always in action. Likewise one needs to keep fit by either adopting an exercise/yoga regime or by just moving around.

3. Learn something new

Mind is like a machine. If you keep it in action it is useful. One should keep learning a new thing which can be a language , a new sport , a new dance form , a new instrument and so on…World is full of amazing things to explore. One life is not enough then why to waste the time in hand.

4.Feed your body and soul a healthy diet

Healthy diet is necessary not only for the body but for the soul also. We may follow healthy diet by eating nutritious foods, avoiding or rather say minimizing junk/fried food(well eradicating it from ones diet is hell of a task ). Now how to feed the soul? Well its simple. Just like you watch what goes in your mouth…just watch what goes in your mind. Watch educative channels ,read informative articles /books, make your interactions with people something from which you can derive meaningful conclusions.

5.Practice Gratitude

God has given every man of his a lot of blessings. Yes we all have them. The idea is to remember them. If its too hard then list them on a paper and just thank God every time. Being grateful the things , people , moments, capabilities, for that matter even money you have will bring you a sense of contentment

Believe me…by following the above things you will definitely make a positive difference in the life of not only you but also in the ones around
